Jules Sykes - MD Julian Sykes Wildlife Tours, Field Surveyor

Julian (Jules) Sykes is a native Yorkshireman and ex Rugby League player, being a product of a birdwatching family and consequently has been birding since he could hold a pair of binoculars. During this time Jules has developed a passion for other aspects of wildlife particularly mammals, reptiles, amphibians, butterflies and dragonflies particularly in Iberia. He is the owner of a wildlife holiday and short break company - Oliva Rama Tours, which is based in Spain where he now resides on the Mediterranean coast.

For many years he has been involved in voluntary survey work, in Yorkshire and Fife, now he is currently involved in seabird, raptor and winter bird monitoring within the Valencia Region. Jules has vast experience of surveying and monitoring golden eagle, long-eared owl, merlin and black grouse, and has also worked on various renewable projects throughout Scotland during the last few years.
