Colin Bushell - Field Surveyor

Colin has been birding for more than thirty-five years, travelling throughout the Western Palearctic, Asia, Africa and Latin America where he specialises as a leader of bird tours.

In recent years he has worked as a freelance field surveyor for a variety of consultancies, the RSPB and The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, mainly monitoring birds in upland and estuarine environments in Scotland and the north of England. In his spare time Colin carries out a number of voluntary surveys on the Ribble Estuary where he is a member of the WeBS team.
